Calvary Chapel South London was planted in South London in August 2003.
The main work of the ministry is to build up the body of Christ by the consistent teaching of the Bible, book-by-book, chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse. The worship is simple, focusing on exalting the Lord.
The Sunday morning service consists of worship and teaching for the whole family (including children's church and youth ministry).
At Calvary Chapel we believe in all the fundamental doctrines of the evangelical Protestant church. For example, we believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, that the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible Word of God.
Calvary Chapel is a non-denominational evangelical Christian church that began with twenty-five people in California in 1965 and was a key church that reached out to the youth of the counter-culture, the drug users and hippies. The outreach later become known as the Jesus Movement as God gave the increase and thousands gave their lives to Christ.
Calvary Chapel South London also has an all terrain outreach ministry called Urban Mission, committed to reaching and equipping urbanites with the Gospel and affecting urban communities. You can find further information at www.urbanmission.co.uk.
